Wow. What a rush. It is 2023 already. I hope you and your loved ones are all well. I wish you all the best for this new year and hope your dreams will come true.
In my post about reflection on the year of 2022 I wrote to you that I didn’t have some concrete plans for 2022. So let’s change that for this year. I do have some plans for the coming year. Here they are.
Fine-art origami project
I am planning on a studio project with shoots of models combined with origami figures. I have some great ideas and will try to execute a number of them this year. Most of these shoots are pretty challenging so they will take a lot of effort to realise.
Inspiration series
I want to make a series of portraits which are inspired by photographers I admire. Think of fantastic photographers like Vincent Peters, Erwin Olaf, Gregory Crewdson and so on. The goal here is not to make an exact copy of their work but rather to create an image in their way of working but based on my own ideas. Hopefully I will learn some new things that I can incorporate in my own way of working. And otherwise it has been a great exercise.
Moody black and white tattoo series
I would love to collaborate with some inked models to create some dark and moody portraits this year.
Photoshop skills
Beside these specific photography projects I hope to increase my Photoshop skills big time this year in order to being able to get further with my fine-art work. If there are any Photoshop guru’s among you who read this and like to learn me a few new tricks I would love that.
I am not sure if I will be able to execute all of my plans but I hope to get pretty far. If any of you models reads this post and like to collaborate on any of these plans just let me know. Maybe we have match and can work something out.
